Hi, I just created the greatest journal and I'm moving here because I'm no longer explosive :) 23 na ako e :P

In this day and age, it's a surprise you even know of someone who lived up to a century. They say "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Most people nowadays live with this belief; we like everything advanced, fast-forward. Carpe Diem! Whoever made that up must've caused thousands of deaths in the history of mankind. A lot are self-acclaimed workaholics who, like some friend I know, fancies himself dying at a young age (err.. you ALL know who you are ;-))

I don't know where my entry is leading me to, but now that I'm 23.. I formulated myself a new goal.. to live a long fruitful life.. just because life is beautiful.

Jologs alert! :D I watched "Paano Kita Iibigin" with Marien earlier at Trinoma after meeting up with Karen for processing of papers for my Thesis Writing *hopefully* this term.

*WARNING: SOME SPOILERS*

What can I say about the movie? It's okay, I guess. Eugene Domingo cracked me up with her silly lines and comic reliefs.. kinda reminds me of my own sense of humour.. although as Marien mentioned, Piolo and Regine don't really look good together on screen. They didn't make me believe that they were actually in love with each other-somewhat how I felt about Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant in "Music and Lyrics" where they COULD easily be just friends.. if you know what I mean ;-) I think Piolo did his part, I thought Regine needed more acting lessons as much as Piolo needs to clean up his singing.. SHE IS NOT BAD AT ALL, all I'm just saying that I consider Piolo one of the better actors we have around these days, and her inadequacy was somewhat highlighted because of that ;-) Something good about her though, haha.. it's kind of weird to mention, but I think Regine does well on her intimate scenes in movies.. :P Overall, in a sense the movie had all the ingredients of a certified chick flick-- a handsome rich guy, great vacation setting, and yea- a picture-perfect happy ending. Such romance which only exist in movies.. OR NOT! :P

OMG!! I remember liking "Wo Zhi Zai Hu Ni", "zai sui yi fang", and "Ye Lai Xiang" (ok, I confess, Ye Lai Xiang is MY karaoke song at home.. haha =)) This song has been in "The Joy Luck Club" movie, btw.. the part where those two characters were making out haha)

I came in the office today at 7am! No, not because I wanted to work so badly, but because I have to repair my glasses and I didn't want to commute during rush hours, and I unusually woke up at quarter to 5 after a VERY VERY BAD nightmare, probably because I forced myself to sleep yesterday after watching Conan O'Brien [Yesterday's comedy act on American Idol photos was hilarious, anybody seen it?]. So.. I took a hitch ride from my brother and came in at 6:58am (computer time as I opened it). Now, I'm sitting here updating my journal, as if I don't have work to do :)).

Hmm.. what have I been up to these days? 0% progress on thesis proposal (left it hanging after getting 3.5 for my XMETHODS); 0.01% (I DID start writing down notes) progress on SCJWS; 30% progress on shopping (har har); and 100% progress on chilling out.. :P [Haha, this kinda reminds me of my daily status update for my current project.. which, unlike Karen, I DO NOT want want to talk more about here just because I am VERY VERY sick of it]

On a sad note, my Ninang Abe passed away last Friday after suffering almost 10 years of breast cancer treatments. She was on her 60's. May God bless her soul.

BTW, Karen and I volunteered as marshalls for the company outing on June 9. We're in it for the incentive *winks at Karen*

My birthday's coming up next week! I'm thinking whether I should give a treat or not. I've been extremely spendthrifty nowadays, I look at awe upon window shopping at Rustan's the other day. I have to save up so that in the future I would live my ultimate dream of "regularly shopping without guilt at Rustan's".. NYAHAHA. I'm dropping off Bohemian lifestyle.. IF I could afford it!! :))

23.. 2.. 3.. Strange. I still can quite remember using my five fingers to signify "five years old" when my aunties ask me "How old are you?" just a few years back.. now I would have to use a different combination of five fingers to illustrate my age :|

I would end my post here. My eyes are tired, suddenly I can't seem to manage looking at the monitor without my glasses. Have to get them fixed.. in 2 hours or so when the malls open :D Sigh. VICKY + MALL + CREDIT CARD.. not a good combination..

Yey! A good treat after that two-day "issue" resolution that had drained my blood supply completely. =)

Love, love, love Tom Hanks! How can a movie which stars Tom Hanks could ever go wrong? :) But my ultimate crush here would definitely be Tyler Hoechlin, who played his son in the film. I prefer him 12-yr-old though, he doesn't appeal too much to me whenever I watch 7th Heaven marathons on holy weeks. This movie brought me to tears T.T I have to get me more of those Mafia action drama DVDs (I heard The Untouchables is a good film, have to get a copy! =D)

I was telling this to Karen yesterday.. I want to get mp3s of those April Boys songs, old jologs tracks. Last night I rode a jeepney at the Buendia station of LRT (which BTW, Elaine, the shawarma tasted great!!! SOBRA.. thanks for the recommendation) and it played very loud music in the likes of "Napakasakit Kuya Eddie", "Sana ay Mahalin Mo Rin Ako", and other old "sappy".. Vicky-are-you-crazy tunes (which BTW, I am).. I already got "Sana ay Mahalin Mo Rin Ako".. this song brought back old memories of grade school.. sigh.. I had to contain my laughter while hearing "Napakasakit Kuya Eddie".. poor poor man from the lyrics.. :| I've already got a list in my mind.. I want "Bawal na Gamot", I don't know the title but it goes like, "bakit di pagbigyang muli ang ating pagmamahalan.." (the one revived by Janno), "Paminsan-minsan" (Oh, I just love Richard Reynoso..) :D Hail to OPM!! :D

Big dilemma. 5 days before the elections and I still dunno who to vote.. suggestions, recommendations? People you strongly oppose to/ like? Edit: Personally I'd like to vote for high-profile personalities just because I think they've proven themselves more than the newbies.. I just dunno if they're worth the risk. hmm.

Sinong taga-QC? How about party lists? Mayor? Vice Mayor? Congressmen? I remember skipping those last 2004 Elections.. XD
